This now regular event on the calendar was a great success, with the 79 guests tucking into turkey stroganoff or seafood risotto accompanied by local wine and followed up with various deserts.
Live music for the evening was provided by Nicky & Kevin, with Les on drums, ably assisted by Jackie O’Grady.
Malcolm once again provided the surfing sounds of the beach boys and other familiar artists from his vast list of music.
The surf dude shorts and shirts theme was somewhat stretched with Kevin in a bikini top and grass skirt, as well as Phil turning up in a toga, but at least the girls looked good in their sarongs, hula skirts but no coconut bra’s.
Once again the outside dance area was dressed with surf boards, scuba equipment, beach towels and tee shirt memorabilia to enhance the beach party feel. Dancing went on long into the night and only stopped when it started to get cold.
The funds raised at this event were donated to the Myeloma UK charity in the memory of our good friend Jan Steward.
